This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to the LaneOS website (laneos.ai), the LaneOS web console and mobile applications, and related services (together, the "Services").
By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

- Integration partners — data from GPS hardware providers and other services you choose to connect to LaneOS.
2. How We Use Your Information

3. WhatsApp and Meta Platforms
LaneOS uses the WhatsApp Business Platform, provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., to deliver fleet alerts and communicate with users who opt in to WhatsApp notifications. When you communicate with LaneOS over WhatsApp:
- Your messages are transmitted through Meta's infrastructure and are subject to the WhatsApp Privacy Policy.
- We receive and store your WhatsApp phone number, profile name, the content of messages you exchange with us, and delivery metadata.
- We use this data solely to deliver the notifications and support you have requested. We do not use WhatsApp data for third-party advertising.
- You can opt out of WhatsApp notifications at any time by replying STOP to any LaneOS WhatsApp message or by changing your notification settings in the LaneOS console.
4. How We Share Information
We share personal information only in the following circumstances:
- Within your organization — fleet data is visible to authorized users of the fleet account it belongs to (for example, a fleet manager can see driver and vehicle data for their fleet).
- Service providers — hosting, analytics, messaging (including Meta Platforms for WhatsApp delivery), and payment providers who process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards.
- Legal requirements — when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of LaneOS, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. Telematics and location history are retained according to your organization's plan and settings. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. You may request deletion at any time — see our Data Deletion Instructions.
6. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
